Integrand now offers Cadence based parameterized cells (pcells) to enable customers to automatically generate layout for a number of basic passive components. These pcells are SKILL based and work with both Cadence 5.1 and Cadence 6.1. The pcells are driven by a particular foundry tech file and DFM tech files so they are design rule clean by construction. Customers have used these pcells for TSMC, UMC, IBM and GLOBALFOUNDRIES. The Integrand pcells are intended to compliment the pcells developed by our foundry partners. The pcells are intended to work with EMX and have all the appropriate pin and port labels for easy simulation.

The pcell libraries include

  • Spiral inductors (symmetric, center-tapped, standard) with or without patterned ground shields
  • Stacked inductors (helical)
  • Transformers (N:M) where N and M can be any integer. These transformers can be 4, 5 or 6 port depending on the driving mode. They also may have shields.
  • Tcoils
  • MOM finger capacitors (with or without shields)
