IBM

IBM is one of the world's largest semiconductor foundries, offering a comprehensive portfolio of leading-edge CMOS, RF CMOS, silicon germanium BiCMOS and CMOS Image Sensor process technologies. IBM has a long history of sustained innovation, consistently delivering technology firsts such as SiGe BiCMOS process technology, copper interconnects and silicon-on-insulator (SOI) and low-k dielectric insulation.

Certification Documents
Integrand has been working closely with IBM and IBM customers. EMX has been used and silicon verified by IBM and IBM customers on technology nodes including

  • IBM's new SiGe BiCMOS 5PAe, a 350-nm technology leveraging through-silicon via technology
  • BiCMOS SiGe 7WL, a 0.18-┬Ám technology
  • RF CMOS 9RF, a 90nm RF CMOS technology
  • RF CMOS 10LPE, a 65nm RF CMOS technology

IBM can provide documents comparing measurements to simulations for some of these technology nodes.

Enablement kit

IBM provides

  • certified process technology files for EMX that have been extensively verified against silicon measurements
  • measurements and associated GDSII layouts
  • EMX scripts and examples for getting the user up and running quickly
  • a parser to convert IBM's internal foundry process information to the EMX .proc formats.

Scalable models generated using EMX and Continuum for IBM design kits

IBM has licensed EMX and Continuum to develop scalable models for passives for distribution within their design kits. For more details please contact IBM.
