Foundry relationships

Integrand works very closely with leading foundries to build and deliver a flow that provides a high level of accuracy. Integrand and the foundries help ensure that there is an efficient path from design through silicon implementation.

  • The foundries provide certified process technology files for EMX that have been extensively verified against silicon measurements
  • Foundries provide measurements and associated GDSII layouts
  • Integrand provides associated EMX scripts and examples for getting the user up and running quickly
  • Integrand provides end-customers with parsers to convert internal foundry process information to the EMX process file format.

Scalable models

The world's major foundries are using EMX and Continuum to develop scalable passive component models for distribution with their design kits. These scalable models are for components such as

  • Inductors: standard, symmetric, center-tapped, stacked, and shielded
  • MOM capacitors: interdigitated finger capacitors with and without shielding planes
  • MIM capacitors: thin-film capacitors
  • Baluns and transformers: 4,5 and 6 port designs with varying turns ratios
  • T-coils

These models are extensively verified against measurements prior to distribution in the design kits.
